Quick answers to common questions about planning your safari
We recommend booking 6-12 months in advance, especially for gorilla trekking permits and peak season travel (June-September and December-February). However, we can often accommodate last-minute bookings based on availability.
Our packages typically include accommodation, meals, park fees, game drives, airport transfers, and an experienced guide. International flights, visas, travel insurance, and personal expenses are usually not included.
Yellow fever vaccination is required for entry to Rwanda, Kenya, and Tanzania. We also recommend vaccinations for hepatitis A and B, typhoid, and taking malaria prophylaxis. Consult your doctor 6-8 weeks before travel.
Essential items include neutral-colored clothing, comfortable walking shoes, sunscreen, insect repellent, camera with zoom lens, binoculars, and any personal medications. We provide a detailed packing list upon booking.
Absolutely! We offer family-friendly safaris with activities suitable for children. Some activities have age restrictions (gorilla trekking requires minimum age of 15), but we can create custom itineraries for families.
Cancellation terms vary by package and season. Generally, cancellations 90+ days before departure incur 25% fee, 60-89 days 50% fee, and less than 60 days 100% fee. We strongly recommend travel insurance.
